Adjusting to Your New Dentures

Expect an adjustment period – It may take a few weeks to get used to speaking and eating with your new dentures.
Practice speaking aloud daily – Reading out loud can help your tongue and muscles adapt faster.
Multiple adjustments may be needed – Dentures often require several fine-tuning appointments to ensure a perfect fit.

Daily Denture Care & Maintenance

🦷 Removing & Cleaning Your Dentures
Remove dentures overnight or for at least 6 hours daily to allow your gums to rest.
Clean your dentures nightly with a soft brush and denture cleaner—avoid regular toothpaste, which can be abrasive.
Store dentures in a denture-cleaning solution when not in use to prevent drying or warping.

🦷 Oral Hygiene Without Natural Teeth
Brush your gums, tongue, and the roof of your mouth to prevent inflammation and sore spots.
Rinse your mouth with water or mouthwash to remove lingering food particles.

Eating with Dentures

✔ Start with soft foods and small bites while adjusting.
✔ Chew slowly and evenly on both sides to prevent slipping.
✔ Avoid hard, sticky, or tough foods that may dislodge your dentures.

💡 Feeling discomfort? Sore spots can occur as you adjust—schedule an adjustment if needed!
